Merlin Software announces two key appointments

It has been announced today that Merlin timeshare software has made two key appointments in the U.S. and Australia. These appointments reflect recent client acquisition and extend the company’s representation in these important areas.

Bill Schultz, MBA, will join the Merlin team as Vice President Projects for North & South America to manage projects and accounts in these areas.

His appointment gives Merlin Software permanent representation in this important region for the first time.

Schultz has an extensive background in the vacation ownership industry with a strong emphasis on managing financial operations and information technology.

His strong interpersonal skills and experience in the System Development Life Cycle will be essential as Merlin Software expands into the American marketplace.

Su White has been appointed Vice President Projects for the Asia Pacific region and will focus on Merlin clients in Australia and Thailand.

While Su has been with the company for some time, her appointment as Vice President reflects her commitment to the company and her superb client support and customer service skills.

Mike Pnematicatos, Merlin’s chief architect, explained: “Merlin Software can now boast representation not only across our traditional Europe/Africa/Middle East axis but also in the American and Asia Pacific regions, increasing and improving our service levels in these areas.”

Merlin Software provides a complete and fully integrated software solution for today’s vacation ownership business from single site resorts to multi-site, mixed-use developments.

Developed as state of the art business application software, Merlin is the only complete enterprise timeshare software system to be cloud-based and served over the Internet on demand. Users access their Merlin accounts securely via a web browser anywhere with an Internet connection.

Merlin’s front to back functionality includes marketing, sales, front office, property management and back office modules and website integration for members and prospects. This form of software as a service (SaaS) helps businesses become more efficient and productive and makes bringing new products and services to market faster and easier.

Merlin Software and RCI recently announced the launch of the Deposit Simplification Interface allowing links between RCI’s system and external property management systems. The aim of the interface is to integrate and automate client verification and operational processes for RCI affiliates. Merlin Software was the first to exploit this link.

The technology platform for Merlin consists of a Microsoft SQL Server database back end with the front end built using Active Server Pages (Browser Front End). As Merlin is served over the Internet there is no requirement for any expensive communication links or set up fees and can be accessed from wherever there is an Internet connection.
