Merlin Spotlight: Merlin WebApps Summary

Over recent months we’ve introduced you to the suite of Merlin WebApps. Developed using the latest technology, Merlin believes WebApps are the future for timeshare software providers. 

WebApps are like any other software or mobile application supplied over the Internet and used in the browser. However, unlike websites, they provide more functionality and features. 

These stand-alone WebApps require no installation, are easy to configure and can be accessed through various platforms such as a desktop, laptop, tablet or smartphone. 

While we have been offering online services for many years now, these WebApps add an extra level of functionality and sophistication to our offering. They use the latest coding languages and practices and are hosted on state-of-the-art servers.

And because they are responsive, they are more accessible than ever on smartphones and tablets.

What Business WebApps are available?

Field Agent WebApp

This WebApp gives the field agent the ability to capture sales leads directly into Merlin, booking an immediate appointment and streamlining the process from the agent out in the field to the sales team.

Agent Desktop WebApp

Merlin’s Agent Desktop allows clients’ call centre operators to follow a pre-determined workflow that moves them through answering the call (pushed to them by your auto-dialler) to selling a mini-vac, booking a tour, and taking payment online. The WebApp finally sends a confirmation to the client all in one seamless process.

Contract WebApp

Accessible on both desktop and mobile devices, this WebApp allows a salesperson to follow a pre-defined workflow to create a completed contract without input from an administrator – and upload directly into Merlin. The easy six-step process requires the salesperson to select and click relevant buttons and add general information. Then, they can choose the type of sale (weeks or points), create invoices, confirm any finance or payment schedules and email the completed contract directly to the purchaser. Or have it printed and sent by mail.

Member Services WebApp

The Merlin Member Services WebApp, released in summer 2021, provides a snapshot of the owner/member in one location without visiting multiple modules to collect the information. Users only need to select the relevant buttons to access the information they need about a member, including:

  • Personal owner profile details.
  • Marketing history.
  • Sales and ownership.
  • Reservations – past, present and future.
  • Accounts.

Significantly, operators can update personal details, make and alter reservations and take payments directly from the WebApp without any need to visit Merlin Classic itself.

Maintenance and Housekeeping WebApps

ThisWebApp provides an improved employee and managerial experience for the maintenance and housekeeping teams, working in disparate groups around the resort. The WebApp allows maintenance staff to operate from any Android phone to access a log of maintenance requests. Each team member can record the start and stop times of the functions and update the task as complete.

While for housekeeping, the WebApp provides the team with real-time data on the room status and employee management features include start and stop of shifts, break times, and location of housekeepers in the resort.

What customer WebApps are available?

Purchase Points WebApp

The purchasing of points online allows members to easily purchase additional usage points during the booking process without contacting a call centre. In addition, an upcoming enhancement will enable members to borrow usage points from future points allocations.

Member WebApp

The Merlin Member WebApp improves the online services you offer your clients. It is fully customisable, uses the latest technology and is fully responsive, tablet-friendly, and easy for everyone to use. Your members have effortless access to their accounts to check reservations, make payments, and order services.

Booking WebApp

Built for our points-based clients, points and floating members can search and book accommodation, check balances, order guests certificates and services and then book and confirm.

Payment WebApp

Incorporating a gateway to your credit card merchant, your members can make online payments for maintenance fees, reservations and services.

Rental WebApp

The Merlin Rental Booking WebApp allow your owners or renting public to find available accommodation from your rental pool, check your booking rules, confirm their booking, order additional items online, make payment and receive confirmation. It’s live and in real-time.

Guest Pay WebApp

The Guest Pay WebApp offers remote account settlement to streamline checkout and payment processes. Through the WebApp, resorts can give their customers the option to receive a payment link via email. The client clicks on the link in the email and follows the online instructions to complete the payment.

It is entirely secure as the guest is redirected to a third-party payment gateway or clearing provider. No credit card information is stored within Merlin or by the email provider. And customers can view their transactions and download content.

Mini Vac WebApp

This exciting WebApp allows non-owners and members to search live availability and then book and pay for a mini-vacation via the resort’s website. No call centre is required. The Mini-Vac WebApp is ideal for resorts without large call centres to manage in- and outbound mini-vacation and tour bookings. It also means bookings can be taken 24/7 and not just during office hours. It speeds up the booking process, reduces contact times and enhances the customer experience.
