Merlin Spotlight: Enhancements to Merlin Classic

In this month’s Merlin Spotlight, we take a quick look at some of the recent enhancements we’ve made to our core Merlin Classic resort software. Developed over the past 15 years, Merlin Classic is the complete resort management software solution incorporating functionality that supports every aspect of a resort operation.

Enhancements are released regularly throughout the year and are available to users immediately – without charge. Merlin support staff are on hand to guide users through the new functionality so we can keep our promise:

Automated Report Group Generation: This feature allows the Property/Site to add reports to Report Groups and create a scheduler for the automatic generation and sending of the Report Group to designated Users via email (billable).

The Report Group functionality has been adapted, allowing users to customise their exports with a cover sheet of specified data of their design. And then schedule this report, so it is emailed to the user of their choice.  

For example, this new functionality means that resorts can schedule their arrival or departure listings to be automatically sent to their inbox daily. There is no need to perform the report printing in Merlin. 

Add Special Treatment to Name and view on Name Home Page (NHP) and Check-In/Out (CIO) Page: This allows users to add a special instruction to a Name that can be viewed from the NHP and the CIO page, making it easier to manage bookings and guests.

Add notes to GL Accounts: Users can now add notes to a GL Account for accounting instructions. This will assist with the management of accounts.
