Pearly Grey Ocean Club, based in Callao Salvaje on the south coast of Tenerife, have been utilising Merlin Software to run their business since 2006.  This family resort offers the best holiday rentals in Tenerife at their hotel on the popular Costa Adeje coastline.

By using Merlin’s cloud-based resort management software, Pearly Grey was already fully equipped to run a virtual office.  Enabling key staff members to work remotely from home during the Coronavirus lockdown has allowed the resorts dedicated team to continue to provide a first-class customer service throughout the lockdown.

This seamless transition has in fact highlighted the real possibility that as we return to a new semblance of normality, some of Pearly Grey’s administration team will be able to work from home on a more regular basis.

Having the ability to work remotely was already becoming a popular option for many companies and their staff.  Finding that balance between work and personal time whilst continuing to provide the expected high standards of service is now a more viable reality thanks to applications such as Zoom, Whatsapp and Merlin Software.

Pearly Grey are also very active with social media and this has also been a great benefit during the lockdown.  Many of their staff have been engaging with clients by making and sharing fun videos, running online competitions, and generally keeping in touch with everyone.
