Technology is always changing and so is Merlin Software with the launch of our new WebApps technology.
We are constantly improving our Merlin Classic Vacation Ownership Software. However, technological advances mean that we can now take away all the thinking and allow users to focus on servicing their clients – rather than how to use the software and what options to choose.
And we think these new configurable and custom WebApps are the future of timeshare software providers.
So what are WebApps?
WebApps are just like any other software or mobile application supplied over the Internet and used in the browser. However, unlike websites, they provide more functionality and features.
These stand-alone WebApps are easy to configure and can be accessed through various platforms such as a desktop, laptop, tablet or smart phone. Importantly, when time is of the essence, they don’t need to be installed. Just update them with your business processes and rules and you’re ready to go.
New clients looking for vacation ownership software will find these WebApps are completely independent of, but are fully integrated with, our Merlin Classic software.
Over the past few months, the Merlin Software team has developed a number of WebApps for our clients. While we have been offering our clients online services for years now, these WebApps add an extra level of functionality and sophistication to our offering. They are coded using the latest coding languages and practices and hosted on state-of-the-art servers.
And because they are responsive, they are more accessible than ever on smart phones and tablets.

Member WebApp
The Merlin Member WebApp improves the online services you offer your clients. Fully customisable, it uses the latest technology, is fully responsive, tablet-friendly and easy for everyone to use. Your members have effortless access to their accounts to check reservations, make payments, and order services.
Booking WebApp
Built for our points-based clients, points and floating members can search and book accommodation, check balances, order guests certificates and services and then book and confirm.
Payment WebApp
Incorporating a gateway to your credit card merchant, your members can make online payments for maintenance fees, reservations and services.
Rental WebApp
The Merlin Rental Booking WebApp allow your owners or renting public to find available accommodation from your rental pool, check your booking rules, confirm their booking, order additional items online, make payment and receive confirmation. It’s live and in real-time.
Purchase Points WebApp
The purchasing of points online allows members to easily purchase additional usage points during the booking process without having to contact a call centre. An upcoming enhancement will allow members to borrow usage points from future points allocations.
Agent Desktop WebApp
While our other WebApps focus on the B2C activities of our clients, Merlin’s Agent Desktop is a WebApp that allows our clients’ call center operators to follow a pre-determined workflow that moves them through answering the call (pushed to them by your auto-dialler), to selling a mini-vac, booking a tour and taking payment online. The WebApp finally sends a confirmation to the client all in one seamless process.
Field Agent WebApp
This WebApp gives the field agent the ability to capture details of sales leads directly into Merlin, booking immediate appointment and streamlining the process from the agent out in the field to the sales team.
And we’re not stopping there. Additional WebApps are coming on line in the next few months covering areas such as contracts, housekeeping and maintenance and front desk check-in.
