Merlin Spotlight: June 7, 2026 Server Enhancements

The June 7, 2026 Merlin Software server update introduces a range of enhancements focused on reservation requests, waitlist management, membership administration, reporting, marketing, and operational efficiency.

Many of these updates are designed to help teams work faster, access more information from a single screen, and reduce manual processes. Several enhancements also improve the experience for owners and members by making reservation requests and waitlist management more transparent and easier to manage.

Here is a closer look at what has been updated and what it means for your resort or HOA operation.

Reservation Requests and Priority Waitlist Enhancements

A significant portion of this release focuses on Reservation Requests and Priority Waitlist functionality.

Multiple Enhancements to Reservation Requests

The Reservation Request page has received several improvements to streamline workflows and provide users with greater visibility into request management.

For resorts that handle high volumes of owner reservation requests, these updates reduce the time spent navigating between screens and make it easier to track request status.

New Waitlist Request Modal

When viewing Priority Waitlists, users will now see a new pop-up modal when clicking on a Reservation Request ID. This provides faster access to key reservation request information without requiring multiple page changes.

For reservations teams, this means:

  • Faster review of requests
  • Improved visibility of waitlisted bookings
  • Reduced administrative effort

Improved Waitlist Logic

The Priority Waitlist logic has been enhanced to allow waitlisting when only part of the requested inventory is available. Previously, users could encounter error messages when availability did not fully match the request.

This enhancement gives reservation teams greater flexibility and improves the chances of securing inventory for members.

Direct Navigation from the Name Home Page

Users can now click the Reservation Request ID hyperlink on the Name Home Page Heads Up Display and navigate directly to either:

  • The Reservation Request
  • The Priority Waitlist

Depending on the request status.

This reduces the number of steps required to research reservations and respond to member enquiries.

Hide No Match Filter

A new Hide No Match option has been added to the Priority Waitlist page.

This allows users to remove requests that have no availability matches from view and focus on requests with potential inventory opportunities.

Streamlined UTC Filters

The Unit Type Code filtering logic on the Priority Waitlist page has been simplified and improved.

This makes it easier for users to locate relevant inventory and manage waitlists more efficiently.

Membership and Ownership Enhancements

Membership Flag 3 Added

Membership Flag 3 has been added to:

  • Product Pool setup
  • Name Home Page display
  • Membership pages

This provides resorts with an additional level of membership classification and segmentation.

Properties with multiple ownership structures or specialised membership programs will benefit from the additional flexibility.

BF and OCC Added to Reservation Requests

BF and OCC information can now be included when creating Reservation Requests.

This provides reservations and marketing teams with more complete information at the point of request creation and helps improve reservation accuracy.

Front Office Improvements

Vehicle Registration Number Now Editable

Vehicle Registration Number can now be edited directly within Reservation Information. The Vehicle Registration field has also been added to the Check-In and Check-Out pages.

For resorts with parking controls, gated access, or security requirements, this provides better guest tracking and operational visibility.

Additional Fields Added to Points Statement Export

New data columns have been added to the Send Documents export for Compact Points Statements. This provides more flexibility when generating owner communications and analysing points activity.

Reporting Enhancements

Journal Receipt and Journal Payment Added to Levy Points Report

The Levy Points Report has been updated to include:

  • Journal Receipts
  • Journal Payments

This provides finance teams with a more complete view of account activity and improves reporting accuracy.

New Call Time Log Report

A new Call Time Log Report has been added under:

Marketing → Reports → Call Stats → Call Time Logs

This report provides greater visibility into call activity and performance tracking. For marketing and contact centre teams, this helps monitor productivity and improve operational oversight.

Setup and Configuration Improvements

Cleaning Credits Merge Function

A new merge function has been created for Cleaning Credits. This enhancement supports document generation and communication workflows where cleaning credit information needs to be included automatically.

Total Occupants Logic Added to Unit Type Codes

Unit Type Code setup now includes Total Occupants logic. This enhancement helps ensure occupancy information is more accurately reflected across reservations and inventory management processes.

Questionnaire Answer Type – Subheading

A new Answer Type called Subheading has been added to Questionnaire setups. This allows resorts to create more structured questionnaires and improve the presentation of forms and surveys.

Data Management Enhancements

Improved Name Import Functionality

The process used to import Names into Merlin has been enhanced. This update provides improved flexibility and efficiency when loading large volumes of ownership, member, or guest records.

Properties planning data migrations or bulk imports should contact Merlin Support for further information on the new functionality.

What These Updates Mean for Merlin Users

The June 2026 enhancements continue Merlin’s focus on practical improvements that solve real operational challenges.

These updates help resorts:

  • Manage reservation requests more effectively
  • Improve waitlist visibility and processing
  • Enhance member servicing
  • Increase reporting accuracy
