The July 2025 Updates to Merlin Software brings a fresh set of enhancements designed to give you more control, better reporting, and smoother workflows — all while delivering more value to your customers.

These improvements span Sales, Front Office, Back Office, and Marketing, with refinements that make day-to-day operations faster, more transparent, and easier to manage. Here’s what’s new and why it matters.

Sales Module Enhancements

Sales teams now have more powerful filtering and reporting tools to track performance, manage contracts, and allocate users effectively.

  • Contract Status Filter – You can now filter by Contract Status in the Contract Status Change Log. This means faster, more precise tracking of contract changes without wading through irrelevant data.
  • GL Category Filter – Added to the Contract Money Received report, giving you more granular financial insights and allowing better analysis of income by category.
  • User Allocation on Contracts – A new “User Allocation” action lets you assign contracts to specific users directly from the contract view, improving accountability and workload management.
  • Allocated User on Member Report – The Consolidated Members Report now includes an Allocated User column so sales managers can instantly see ownership of member relationships.
  • Members Consolidated Report – A new all-in-one report brings together member details, memberships, contracts, levies, and points for a complete 360° view — perfect for quick overviews or strategic reviews.
  • Contract Flags in Multiple Places – Contract Flags are now part of the Contract Status Upload and visible on the Name Home Page HUD, giving teams immediate visibility of special conditions or requirements.

Front Office Improvements

Front Office teams get new tools for precision, compliance, and guest experience.

  • RCI ID on Reservation Report – You can now view RCI IDs directly on the Reservation Report, streamlining communication and verification with exchange partners.
  • Anniversary Pro Rata Allocation – This custom enhancement allocates first-year points based on the occupation start date and applies credit rules to determine expiry — ensuring fairness and clarity for members.
  • BAS Opt Out & Legitimate Interest – When creating a name across sites, these settings now default to “True,” helping you stay compliant with data privacy regulations.
  • Guest Appointments Linked to Reservations – You can now link guest appointments to their reservation, providing a more coordinated guest experience.
  • Reservation Flag on Arrivals Listing Report – New flag helps teams instantly see special statuses or requirements.
  • Days Past Due in Reservation Report – A simple but powerful addition to help spot overdue accounts instantly.

Back Office Upgrades

Efficiency and clarity are the focus here, with changes that make reporting and order tracking more informative.

  • ALL Report Type Option – In the Financial Statements by Period report, you can now select “ALL” report types in one go, saving time when generating comprehensive statements.
  • Additional Columns on Supplier Orders Export – Master Order Total, Master Order Company, and Master Order Discount Amount are now included for a fuller financial picture.

Benefit: Finance teams get richer, more flexible reporting with fewer steps.

Marketing Module Tweaks

  • New Generic Call Status – A flexible new option for tracking calls has been added to the marketing tools, allowing better categorisation and follow-up processes.
  • New Merge Function for CDE – Fresh merge function options enhance campaign personalisation.
